The Church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God is an Orthodox church of the Kursk and Rylsk diocese and is located in the village of Kulevka in the Gorshechensky district of the Kursk region.

The history of the village of Kulevka begins in the late 18th century when a landowner, Rodion Kulik, settled here, after whom the village was named. Until 1928, it was part of the Nizhnedvitsky district of the Voronezh province.

In the 19th century, Archbishop Dmitry Sambikin mentioned in documents from the mid-1880s that the Tikhon Church in the village of Kulevka, Nizhnedvitsky district, was a stone structure with a bell tower and was completed in 1869. The church owned 33 desyatinas of arable and homestead land, as well as two wooden houses. The parish had 845 souls.

However, this information contradicts the data from P. Nikolsky, who claimed in 1900 that the wooden Tikhon Church was built in 1892. At that time, the church staff included priest Vsevolod Mikhailov and psalmist Pavel Dolgopolov. The church owned 34 desyatinas of arable land, and the parish included 247 households with a population of 2061 people.

On August 19, 1940, the church in Kulevka was closed, but likely for a short time. During the Soviet years, despite threats of closure and the poverty of the parish, the church continued to operate thanks to the efforts of priests and parishioners. Today, the church in Kulevka is recognized as a site of historical and cultural heritage.
