The church in honor of the martyrs Cyricus and Julitta in the village of Shchelyayurskaya was built by decree No. 43 from January 3/8, 1890, and consecrated on January 10, 1894. In 1907, with the formation of the Shchelyayur parish, it became a parish church. Previously, this church was affiliated with the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in the village of Krasnoborskaya.

The history of the Resurrection parish, located in the Izhma district of the Komi Republic, begins in 1833. The parish included four villages: Krasnoborskaya and Vertepskaya (on the right bank of the Izhma River), as well as Diyurskaya and Shchelyayurskaya (on the right bank of the Pechora River). It is likely that the first inhabitants of Krasnoborskaya and Vertepskaya were Izhma industrialists, such as the Terentyevs, Semyashkins, and Smetanins, who came from Izhma to catch birds and fish on the left bank of the Izhma River opposite the village of Krasnoborskaya. Here they built huts for living during their fishing trips. The area was forested and rich in game, while the Izhma River abounded with fish. On the opposite right bank were suitable lands for agriculture, and on an island separated by a narrow strait, there were good meadows. Attracted by these conditions, the industrialists settled around 1795 in the forest, naming it Krasny Bor.

As the arable lands were across the river, around 1802 some residents moved to the right bank, where the villages of Krasnoborskaya and Vertepskaya emerged. They remained parishioners of the Izhma parish. However, the distance to the church and inconvenient communication with the parish center prompted the peasants of Krasnoborskaya and other villages, which later became part of the Dibozhsky and Nyashebozhsky parishes, to appeal to His Grace Aaron, who visited the Izhma region in 1830, requesting permission to build a wooden church of the Resurrection of Christ in Krasnoborskaya village with houses for the clergy and to separate into an independent parish. The peasants agreed to allocate the necessary land and donated 2000 rubles, which were sent to the St. Petersburg Guardianship Council in 1831. His Grace Aaron designated a site for the church's construction, and on March 18, 1830, after a prayer service, he erected a cross there. However, the ground turned out to be weak, so His Grace George, who received permission from the Holy Synod to open the parish in 1831 and visited Krasnoborskaya village in March 1832, chose a new site for the church's construction.

The church was built in 1832-1833. The iconostasis and icons were made by peasant Yelisey Yakovlevich Popov from the Yaren district for 3000 rubles. The Church of the Resurrection of Christ was consecrated on March 10, 1834, by His Grace George, with the assistance of two archimandrites, the local dean, and the first parish priest, Sergey Ioilev.

Since the bank on which the church stood was eroded annually, at the request of the parishioners dated January 31, 1875, and by decree No. 4805 from July 1, 1875, a new Church of the Resurrection of Christ was built, consecrated on July 2, 1878, by dean Alexey Zuev. From the old church, a three-tiered bell tower was built in 1880. Peasants Matvey and Ioann Konev from the village of Dibozhskaya donated a bell weighing 51 poods 30 pounds on March 24, 1834. The church elder from Krasnoborskaya village purchased another bell weighing 30 poods 23 pounds with the collected funds.
