In the village of Slobodišče, a new church was built in 2010. Previously, there stood a stone church dedicated to the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, with an altar in honor of the martyrs Flora and Laurus, erected in 1808-1810. The parish included a church school as well as a literacy and zemstvo school. During the Great Patriotic War, the church was destroyed.

On September 24, 2017, Metropolitan Alexander of Bryansk and Sevsk conducted the rite of great consecration of the church dedicated to Saints Flora and Laurus and led the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church. A Sunday school operates at the church.
