The wooden single-altar church of Flora and Laurus, built in 1793, was a "cold" church with a cross-shaped plan. Its dimensions were 27 by 17.5 by 8 meters, accommodating up to 500 parishioners. The church was adorned with two bulbous domes covered in white tin. Later, in the first half of the 19th century, a four-tiered pine bell tower 15 meters high was erected. The church had 20 windows through which light streamed in, and the floor was laid with stone.

Services were held in the church intermittently until 1960. In February 1961, the community was deregistered as it had effectively disbanded, and in 1963 the church building was converted into a village club.

In 1973-74, the church was demolished, and the materials were used to build an office and a dam. The site where the church stood is marked by a wooden cross, and there are plans to install a chapel.
