Church of Saints Faith, Hope, Love, and Their Mother Sophia in Kursk

Фото 1
The church dedicated to Saints Faith, Hope, Love, and their mother Sophia is one of the new religious buildings in Kursk. It was constructed between 2000 and 2004 in the Northwestern district of the city, previously known as Kazatskoye Field, where there was neither a church nor a parish before. The parish was established in 1997, and at that time, Bishop Juvenaly of Kursk gifted the future church an icon of the Mother of God "Sign" of Kursk Root.

Initially, the church was located in a small temporary building, and its arrangement was assisted by parishes from other Kursk churches. After a site for the new religious building was chosen, a chapel and bell tower were constructed. In 2000, the chapel was consecrated in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Inexhaustible Cup." Next to the Church of Faith, Hope, Love, and their mother Sophia in Kursk, a monument to Emperor Nicholas II has been erected.
