The church dedicated to the holy princes Boris and Gleb is located in the ancient village of Bryansk region, known as Borisoglebskoye. From above, it resembles a cross. In ancient times, there stood a wooden church of the Assumption of the Mother of God with an altar for Boris and Gleb, but during the Time of Troubles, it was looted and burned by the Lithuanians. In 1808, landowner Ekaterina Tyutcheva ordered the construction of a new stone church. Her father, Faddey Tyutchev, was a wealthy landowner of Bryansk district and left behind three stone churches. Ekaterina continued his work, but her plan coincided with the difficult year of 1812. A few decades later, likely due to haste or construction errors, the church began to crack, and in 1895 it was dismantled due to the threat of collapse. Almost immediately, the construction of a new church began, which was consecrated in 1900. Funds for the construction were collected from all over. The work was carried out by the team of contractors Knyazev and Khalalaev under the supervision of the priest's son Dmitry Fomin. The church is built in the Byzantine style, and the arches give it artistic unity. The parishioners especially revered the icons of "The Protection of the Mother of God," "Holy Princes Boris and Gleb," and "Saint Nicholas," which were raised during droughts and carried in a procession around the village.

In 1929, the church was closed and converted into a grain storage facility. During the Great Patriotic War, the building was severely damaged. In the post-war years, used as a collective farm base, it gradually fell into disrepair and by 1961 was considered hazardous. In 1992, the parish community was revived, and services began in the dilapidated building. At that time, the local agricultural enterprise began restoration work. In 2006, funds for restoration were allocated under the regional program "Protection and Preservation of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of Bryansk Region." During the restoration, brickwork, interiors, windows and doors, lost altars, the bell tower, and domes were restored, and the facades were finished. Remnants of the paint layer were found, allowing the building to regain its historical appearance. The opening of the church on August 6, 2009, was timed to coincide with the village's patronal feast, the day of remembrance of the martyrs, holy princes Boris and Gleb.
