According to the "Reference Book on Churches, Parishes, and Chapels of the Kursk Diocese for 1908", there was a Cosmodamian church in the village of Lyubach, built of stone in 1810. The church had one altar, and there were 693 Orthodox believers in the parish. A church parish school operated at the church. According to a record from the state archive, in 1920, the Cosmodimian church in the village of Lyubach Vyshne, Reutchan volost, was a stone, cold building with one floor and six windows, wooden floors, and one dome with iron crosses. The last repair was conducted in 1909. The stone bell tower, built in 1810, had five bells. The fence around the church was wooden, and there were three marble monuments in the cemetery. Wooden choir stalls and a screen at the altar, as well as a dilapidated wooden iconostasis with three tiers, made in 1880 and renovated in 1898, complemented the interior. The church had 16 icons and five kiots, one of which was in the altar, and four in the temple. The weights of the bells were: the first, 72 poods, the second, 33 poods, the third, 3 poods, the fourth, 1 pood, the fifth, 20 pounds. It is known that during the Soviet years the temple was closed, and unfortunately, over time, the building fell into disrepair and is now in an emergency state.
