The Church of Paraskeva Friday is located in the village of Kumovskoye in the Babyninsky District of the Kaluga Region, which is one of the largest in the area. Before 1917, there were 26 Orthodox churches here, but after the revolution, all were closed and most were destroyed. Currently, one church has been transferred to the Diocese, while the fate of six others is being decided.

The Church of Paraskeva Friday was built in 1771 and represents a transition from Baroque to Classicism. The construction was financed by the local landowner Eporin. The brick building, with one dome, though small, accommodated all the parishioners, including residents of Kumovskoye and eight neighboring villages.

The church was consecrated in honor of Saint Paraskeva Friday. Until its closure, the church actively functioned, holding regular services. In the 1930s, it was closed, the bell tower was destroyed, and the building itself suffered significant damage. It is currently in a state of emergency.
