Holy Trinity Church in Tyukalinsk (lost)

Фото 1
The solemn consecration of the main altar of the Trinity Church took place on October 27, 1852. Two years later, a chapel was created on the southern side of the church, and a second altar was consecrated in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh, the Miracle Worker. This two-altar church, sturdy and spacious, was built entirely with the funds of the parishioners and equipped with the necessary utensils.

In 1893, a new church was consecrated in Tyukalinsk in honor of Archangel Michael, which became a dependency of the Tyukalinsk Trinity Church. From the beginning of the 20th century, three chapels were added to it.

In 1872, a church-parish guardianship was established at the Trinity Church. Starting in 1886, a church-parish school began operating at the church, which later gained city status. Currently, the district library is located in its building.

During the Soviet era, the Holy Trinity Church was closed. In the second half of the 1930s, the domes were removed, and the building was repurposed for secular needs. Today, the church building has been preserved, albeit in a remodeled form. It currently houses a fire station.
