The Holy Trinity Church in the village of Troitsa was built in 1801. It survived the revolution but suffered greatly during the Great Patriotic War. The last service was held in 1961, after which the church was partially destroyed and completely looted. It was used as a grain storage facility, a warehouse for mineral fertilizers, and also housed a machine and tractor station. All the frescoes were lost, and the bell tower and domes were destroyed. Along with the church, the village itself fell into decline.

On January 8, 2011, in the village of Troitsa, a liturgy was held for the first time in half a century in the old church's small room. Funds are needed for the restoration of the church, and if they are found, its revival will begin. For now, people are gathering under the dome of the Holy Trinity Church again and services are taking place.
