Holy Trinity Church in Skorodnoe

Фото 1
The Church of the Holy Trinity is located in the village of Skorodnoe in the Bolshesoldatsky District of the Kursk Region and was built in the mid-19th century. This impressive seven-domed structure has two chapels. At that time, the settlement had more than two thousand residents, with a church parish school, a zemstvo school, a hospital, and four shops operating.

The church remained active until 1928, but during the active anti-religious campaign of the Soviet authorities, it was closed, and the building was used for meetings and gatherings of local residents. In 1943, during the occupation, German troops completely burned down the church.

The issue of financing the construction of a new church building in the village of Skorodnoe was resolved in 2000 thanks to a donation from entrepreneur Gridin, the owner of the Siberian Business Union holding. In 2002, the church was consecrated, and the first solemn service took place. The church turned out to be elegant, beautiful, and spacious. Currently, a baptistery has been built next to the church, bells have been installed in the bell tower, and classes for future bell ringers are being held.
