In the stanitsa of Platnirovskaya in the Caucasian district of the Kuban region, a church was built in 1906 in magnificent Russian style, designed by the famous architect I. K. Malgerb, who also developed the projects for the Catherine and Trinity churches in Yekaterinodar.

Today, this is the only church that has survived since the early 20th century in the Korenevsky district of Krasnodar Krai. In 1933, the church was closed, and its domes and bell tower were demolished. The chairman of the collective farm, V. G. Dolgikh, purchased the building from the state for 28 thousand rubles and used it as a grain storage facility. In 1942, the church reopened for services.

In 1963, it was closed again. In 1975, a fire set by schoolchildren on the wooden vaults of the church destroyed all the roofing structures. In 2000, a temporary altar was set up in the church, and it was recognized as a monument of history and culture of Krasnodar Krai. By the 100th anniversary in 2006, the exterior facades of the building were fully restored. On October 16, 2010, the consecration and installation of crosses took place, and the dismantling of scaffolding began. As of spring 2013, services are held in the refectory of the Trinity Church.
