In 1912, architect A.P. Kosiakin received an order from the Kazanskaya stanitsa to build two churches. The church in honor of Archangel Michael, located in the center of the stanitsa, could not accommodate all the parishioners. Therefore, at a meeting of the Cossacks, it was decided to erect two more churches in the western and eastern parts of the stanitsa.

Documentary evidence of the construction process has not survived. However, there is a photographic reproduction depicting Cossacks and Cossack women engaged in the construction. The entire stanitsa participated in the construction of both churches. Two years later, in 1914, the Holy Trinity Church in the western part of Kazanskaya and the church consecrated in honor of the Great Martyr George the Victorious in the eastern part received new domes. Both churches have identical architectural designs.

A preserved photograph allows us to conclude about the similarity of the interior decoration as well. The iconostasis from the church of the Great Martyr George, which was destroyed in the 1970s, seems to be intended for the Holy Trinity Church.
