It is pleasant to see how Orthodox churches are being built and restored. It is known that in the past centuries, there were churches in almost every village in the Gordeevsky district. However, during the years of persecution of faith, they were closed and destroyed everywhere. The Holy Trinity Church in the village of Glinnoe in Bryansk did not escape this fate and was destroyed in 1924, along with the church parish school. Recently, the church was returned to the village.
On January 26, the consecration ceremony and Divine Liturgy took place in the new Holy Trinity Church, built in 2013, led by Bishop Sergey of Klintsy and Trubchevsk. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking representatives of the secular authorities of the region and district: Deputy Governor of Bryansk Region Nikolai Kirillovich Simonenko, Commissioner for Human Rights in Bryansk Region Sergey Kirillovich Simonenko, Head of the Administration of Gordeevsky District Lyudmila Ivanovna Ubogova, and Head of Gordeevsky District Alexander Antonovich Samusenko. Many local residents also came to visit the new church for the first time. After the consecration, Bishop Sergey conducted the Divine Liturgy.
