The Holy Trinity Church in the village of Bulanovka was built in 1853 and restored in 2013. It is recognized as a monument of architecture from the mid-19th century and is under state protection.

The stone church in Bulanovka was erected in 1853 thanks to the efforts of landowner Bocharikov. Its bell weighed 200 poods, and its sound carried for 30 versts.

In 1907, there were 1,261 Orthodox believers in the parish, and a zemstvo school operated here.

After the revolution, the church was closed and used as a grain storage facility. The bell tower was dismantled, and its bricks were used to build a machine and tractor station in the neighboring village of Bolshaki. After the war, services in the church resumed.

On November 3, 2013, Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol consecrated the restored Holy Trinity Church.

The church in Bulanovka has three altars: the central one is consecrated in honor of the Holy Trinity, the right one in honor of St. Nicholas, and the left one, the first in Russia and beyond, is consecrated in honor of the Holy Martyr Nicodemus (Kononov), Bishop of Belgorod.
