Until 1850, the village of Alyoshna was part of the Demidov estate and belonged to the parish of the church in the village of Rekovichi.

The stone church in Alyoshna was built with funds from the estate owner V.R. Demidov and consecrated on January 9, 1850, in honor of the Holy Trinity. A parish school and church house operated at the church.

In 1938, the Soviet authorities closed the church. During the war, from 1941 to 1943, the church reopened, but was closed again afterward. During the period of inactivity, the church was subjected to looting and partial destruction.

In 2002, at the initiative of local residents, the restoration of the church began, and since 2011 it has been functioning again.
