The first church in the village of Zhurinichi, dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, was built around 1917. In the winter months of 1942, the village and the church were destroyed by fascist occupiers. In the place of the burned church, the executed residents of Zhurinichi were buried in a mass grave. After 1945, a club was built on the site of the execution. On May 28, 1998, the building of the former village club was handed over to the believers by the Zhurinichi village administration. On July 14, 1998, with the blessing of Archbishop Melchizedek of Bryansk and Sevsk, the parish was restored and the altar of the church was consecrated in honor of the Entry into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos.

In 1998, the Orthodox community was established in the village of Zhurinichi, and services were held in a wooden house adapted as a church. On November 19, 2005, Bishop Theophylact of Bryansk and Sevsk conducted the rite of laying the foundation for a new wooden church in the name of Saint Martyr Antonina. On March 22, 2006, he also consecrated the crosses of the church, and on April 29, after the consecration, the bells were raised to the bell tower.

On May 28, 2006, Bishop Theophylact consecrated the church and the altar, after which the first Divine Liturgy was held. The construction of the church was actively participated in by Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev, the director of the FSB of the Russian Federation. In 2009, the church building was damaged by fire, but it was restored and consecrated in 2012.
