The church in honor of St. Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga and Martyr Princess Anastasia in Stary Oskol was built in 2008 and serves as a baptistery. It is located next to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

The construction of this unique wooden church for the Belgorod region began in 2007 with the blessing of Bishop Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol.

On June 25, 2007, the day of the commemoration of St. Onuphrius, Bishop of Stary Oskol, the cornerstone was consecrated, which had been delivered from afar and installed shortly before.

In April 2008, the roof frame over the altar was covered with wooden shingles, and octagonal structures for the bell tower were built. On May 7, 2008, carved domes and crosses were installed on the church.

On May 16, 2008, the dome was placed on the bell tower. Throughout the spring and summer of 2008, the interior decoration of the church was arranged: a two-tiered iconostasis was installed, and lighting and heating were set up.

The church is built of larch, and the domes with crosses are made of aspen. The iconostasis and altar are made of oak. The wood was brought from the forests of Arkhangelsk.
