St. Panteleimon the Healer Church in Nizhny Solotino

Фото 1
Initially, the settlement had the status of a village, as it did not have its own church. However, after the wooden church in honor of St. Panteleimon the Great Martyr was built in 1891, with an altar dedicated to St. Nicholas, it was designated as a village. This church with two altars was part of the deanery. In 1908, the church community had 792 members. A parish school operated at the church, where in 1915, 40 boys and 12 girls were educated. In 1940, the church was closed, but services resumed during the Great Patriotic War. In 1950, the church building was used as a warehouse, and services were no longer held there.
