The church of St. Demetrius of Thessalonica is an Orthodox church located in the village of Srednie Apotki in the Gorshechensky district of the Kursk region.

Before the brick church was built, there was a wooden church in the village, also dedicated to St. Demetrius of Thessalonica. The new church was constructed in 1811 under the guidance of the peasant Sila Vasilyevich Gladkov.

In 1831, a bell tower was added to the church, which by the end of the 19th century housed five bells. The last of these was purchased in 1882 in Voronezh.

After the Bolsheviks came to power, the bell tower was demolished, and the church building was used for economic purposes. On June 21, 1938, the church was closed, but during the occupation in 1942, it was reopened. In 1944, the church's parish was officially registered. However, on October 6, 1950, under pressure from the Council for Religious Affairs, the church was closed again.

On May 15, 1989, by the decision of the Kursk Regional Council of People's Deputies, the church was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church.
