The Church of St. Demetrius of Thessalonica in the village of Razdornoye, built in the late 19th century, has preserved its original form to this day.

The history of this place begins in 1648, when the first structures were built on the territory of the Razdoren fortress. Behind a high fence, two small stables, a blacksmith shop, a gunpowder cellar, and a small chapel in honor of the warrior Demetrius of Thessalonica were established. This was the first village church for the servicemen of the Upper Sosensky fortress, who performed guard duty here. Over time, a settlement emerged around the fortress, and by the early 18th century, after the fortress lost its military significance, Razdornoye became an ordinary village. In 1711, a large wooden church was built on the site of the chapel, which included the villages of Razdornoye, Greedyakino, and the Osinovy settlements.

In 1878, the church burned down as a result of a major fire that destroyed all wooden structures in Razdornoye. A brick church, significantly larger in size, was built in its place. The bricks for construction were fired from Sorokin clay and sand, and four teams of stonemasons worked on the construction. The painting was done by iconographers from the Mitrofanovsky Monastery in Voronezh, while the altar was decorated by carver Afanasy Zhelezncov, apprentice Artem Seleznev, and gilding master Yuras Artamonov. The church was consecrated in 1866, and services were held here until the early 1930s.

In 1922, all gilded and silver-plated coverings, chalices, crosses, and other utensils were removed from the church, and the priest was expelled. In 1930, with the emergence of the first collective farms, the church building was used as storage.

In the summer of 1942, before the German occupation, the church was reopened for believers, and prayers were held in honor of the Russian army. In the 1970s, alongside the services, the church underwent restoration. A new majestic iconostasis was installed, the area around the church was improved, and a house for the clergy was built.

In 1977, the church was completely restored, and the iconostasis was rebuilt.
