The Vladimir chapel was built on the site where, according to historians, Prince Igor Svyatoslavich and his brother Vsevolod met during their campaign against the Polovtsians in 1185.

The stone chapel, erected between 1997 and 1999, is located on a hill above the caves where the Holkov Trinity Monastery is situated. It is a cubic building with an octagonal bell tower under a tent roof.

Historians suggest that the site of the Holkov underground monastery was visited by Prince Igor Svyatoslavich and his brother Vsevolod. After their meeting, they proceeded along the Izyum road by the Oskol River to the south. This heroic-tragic campaign of the Russian warriors is reflected in the famous work of domestic literature, "The Tale of Igor's Campaign."
