The wooden St. Michael the Archangel church stood for over a hundred years until it burned down in 1870. After 23 years, in 1893, a new church in honor of St. Michael the Archangel was consecrated in Tyukalinsk, which became an annex to the Tyukalinsk Trinity Church.

During the Soviet period, the St. Michael the Archangel church was closed and destroyed. Now, on its site, there is a park located between the modern tax office and the monument to the revolution fighters. Not even stones remain from the church; they were used for the construction of a school. Behind the church, there was once a small necropolis where clergymen and respected citizens of the city were buried, but nothing has survived from it either.
