The church in the village of Repetskaya Plota is first mentioned in the Census Book of 1719. According to the 1714 census data, there was a church in the name of the archistrateg Michael, built after this census. The priest was Leontey Emelyanov, who was 63 years old, and his wife Avdotya, also 63. They had four children: Leontey, 43 years old, Klimon, 28 years old, Yeremey, 17 years old, and Matvey, 12 years old.

In 1887, a stone Archangel Church was built on the site of the old wooden church, surrounded by estate land of 3 desyatinas. In 1939, the church was closed by the decision of the presidium of the Kursk regional executive committee and was handed over for the construction of a cinema. A new church was built nearby and consecrated on September 21, 1997. Currently, there is an Orthodox parish of the Mikhailovskaya Church in the village.

The parish of the Archangel Church included residents of the village of Repetskaya Plota, the village of Yekaterinovka, and the Melovoy farmstead. The State Archive of the Kursk Region holds the metric books of the Archangel Church with records of births, marriages, and deaths of residents for various years, starting from 1804.

Over time, various clergy served in the church. In 1816, they were priests Vasily and Zakhar Grigoryev, deacons Maxim Grigoryev and Alexander Dagaev, as well as psalmists Matvey Platonov and Iosif Dagaev. In 1874, priest Nikolai Sergeev, deacon Andrey Sokolov, and psalmist Mikhail Platonov served. In 1895, priest Pavel Troitsky, deacon Dmitry Belyaev, and psalmists Alexander Shcherbatov and Vasily Tolmachev served in the church. In 1910, priest Fyodor Bezpyatkin, deacon Dmitry Brylin, and psalmist Pavel Sukachev served.

Every year on November 8, the village of Repetskaya Plota celebrated Michael's Day. Residents from nearby villages and hamlets gathered for the holiday. The festivities began with a moleben in the Archangel Church, after which a fair and folk celebrations were held in the village.
