In the village of Lyubostan, parishioners built a church in honor of Archangel Michael in 1900. The building with a bell tower was constructed from local bricks made in a nearby clay quarry with the addition of chicken eggs. The construction lasted about 50 years. The church has three altars: the central one is dedicated to the holy Archistrategos Michael, and the left one to the holy apostles Peter and Paul.

From 1917 to 1927, it was the largest church in the area, with Sunday services attended by 200 to 500 people. At that time, there were no other churches in the vicinity. During the war, the church was closed; parishioners dismantled church utensils and some icons, while the rest were taken to the village of Rzhava, where the church remained open. In the post-war years, a priest named Fyodor, whose last name is unknown, temporarily served in Lyubostan. After the 1960s, the church was abandoned and used as a grain storage for the collective farm. The building is now in a state of disrepair, without a bell tower and domes, with only a few icon paintings remaining. The church is closed.

In 1997, the parish was revived. Residents achieved the opening of a house of prayer in the village of Lyubostan. The village council allocated a building of a kindergarten for temporary worship services.
