The St. Michael the Archangel prayer house was built in the stanitsa in 1905 from wood, costing 1500 rubles, and was consecrated on November 7. In 1910, a new church was built on its site, which was consecrated on September 6. Before 1905, the parish belonged to the Smolensk stanitsa, but with the construction of the new church, the community became independent from the Smolensk clergy. The parish land amounted to 99 desyatins and was rented out. From 1906 to approximately 1916, the priest Pavel Ivanovich Ryabchikov served as the rector of the church.

On April 7, 1922, a commission seized church valuables from the church of the stanitsa to aid the starving in the Volga region. Confiscated were the altar cross, chalice, diskos, spoon, star, small plates, and a little spoon. The protocol was signed by priest A. Tilikov, parish council member Mitrofan Romashko, and layman Prokofiy Bokalo. A portable cross, chalice, metal chalice, diskos, and star were also seized. However, the plan for confiscation was not fulfilled, as noted in the protocol: 'there were no other valuables that could be seized in the church, as the church was built and consecrated in 1910 and, due to its poverty, could not acquire such valuables.' In 1934, the church was closed and repurposed as a grain storage facility. After World War II, in 1956, the building burned down under unknown circumstances.
