The Archangel Michael Church in the village of Golubino was built in 2007-2008 on the site of a brick church that was dismantled in 1955. This church had existed in the village since the 19th century.

In the 18th century, the Nikolsky Church was built in Golubino thanks to the efforts of Prince Vyazemsky. However, its fate was unfortunate. During collectivization, the church was closed and used as a storage facility for the collective farm. In 1937, its dismantling began, but it was later found that the raw brick was unsuitable for reuse, and the work was halted.

After liberation from the German-fascist invaders in 1943, the church was temporarily adapted for services. However, by 1955, its walls began to collapse, and the building was completely dismantled.

In November 2007, the first stone of the new church was laid. The construction took less than a year. The long-awaited event for the villagers took place on the day of the Orthodox saints Peter and Fevronia, symbolizing the strength of family ties and marital fidelity.

On July 8, 2008, Archbishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol consecrated the newly built church.
