The first church in honor of Archangel Michael was built in the village in 1852. It burned down in 1859, and in 1863 a new church was built and consecrated in its place. Due to its dilapidation, it became a subsidiary to another village church dedicated to the holy righteous grand prince Alexander Nevsky starting in 1903.
In 1906, a new brick St. Michael the Archangel church was erected in the village. According to descriptions from that time, the building featured beautiful architecture and was tall and bright. A brick church in honor of the holy righteous grand prince Alexander Nevsky was also built in 1903. Both churches were destroyed in the 1930s.
