In the late 17th century, Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, traveling on a pilgrimage to Kyiv, stopped here. He liked this place and ordered funds to be allocated and craftsmen sent to build a monastery. The monastery's enclosure contained two churches and a separate bell tower.

The five-domed Uspensky Cathedral was built and consecrated in the 1680s. Another church, dedicated to St. George the Victorious, appeared 20 years later. This is evidenced by a plaque with an inscription on the western wall: "in 1701, through the efforts of the hieromonk cellarer and the brotherhood."

The heated Georgievsky Church was located opposite the monastery gates. To its right stood the five-domed Uspensky Cathedral. Both churches were built from high-quality oversized bricks and adorned with window and entrance surrounds, decorative cornices, and kokoshnik arches, which are characteristic of late 17th-century architecture. The bell tower, built later in the classical era, differs in style. Its tiers are decorated with columns, semi-arched windows, porticos, and cornices, topped with a dome of semicircular shape with a spire. In 1764, by royal decree, the monastery became "non-staff," and the Georgievsky Church received parish status.

In the 1930s, the churches were closed. The winter Georgievsky Church was turned into workshops, and the area where the garden and cemetery used to be was used for machinery. In 1989, at the request of local residents, the Georgievsky Church was partially consecrated and is now fully restored.
