The church was built with the funds of landowner N.I. Shidlovsky in 1900 and consecrated in 1901. During the Soviet era, the building was first converted into a school and then into a cultural center. After a fire in the cultural center, it was decided to restore the church. The restored church was consecrated by Archbishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol on June 12, 2009.
