Detailed information about the church in the village of Korovyakovka has not survived. However, it is known that there was a wooden oak church and a chapel near the cemetery on Naberezhnaya Street. The church was located in the center of the village, where the local agricultural cooperative's administration building now stands.

In the late 1930s, the church was destroyed by the decision of local authorities. It was decided to build a club for entertainment in its place, which was soon done. During the Soviet era, religious life in Korovyakovka was reduced to family and domestic rituals. Believers in need of church prayers and Sacraments visited the surviving churches in the villages of Alexeyevka and Popovo-Lezhachi in the Glushkovsky district.

After the restructuring, the villagers appealed to Archbishop Juvenaly (Tarasov) with a request to open an Orthodox parish, and in 1992, services in Korovyakovka were resumed after six decades.

Soon, by the order of the head of the village administration, a room from the former "Household Services Combine" was allocated for the church. Parishioners made efforts to give the abandoned building a worthy church appearance. Much was accomplished thanks to the efforts of ordinary believers.
