The Church of St. Basil the Great in the village of Brasovo is one of the few surviving estate churches in the Bryansk region, built in the classical style. The foundation of the church dates back to the first half of the 17th century, and construction was completed between 1778 and 1780.

The church retains a cornerstone with an inscription confirming that it was built in 1778 under the guidance of architect Alexander Morozov. This is the only known case of its kind in the Bryansk region.

The architecture of the church creates an impression of an extraordinarily high and spacious interior.

The main building of the church has a rounded shape and a one-story structure with two slightly pronounced rectangular projections. It is topped with two light drums with a helmet-shaped dome between them and a spherical cupola. Inside, there are a central room and two side rooms, the main altar, a refectory part with an attached two-tiered bell tower, as well as four small rooms, two of which contain side altars.

The church was not operational from 1938 to 1941 and from 1960 to 1990; during this time, it was used as a driving school, gym, state farm office, and factory workshop.

By 2016, the building had been renovated, but the lost upper tier of the bell tower with the clock had not been restored.
