The Orthodox parish of this church existed since the 17th century. It is hard to say how many times the church building was renovated over the three centuries of its existence. The last building was constructed in 1908 according to the design of the Kursk diocesan architect V.G. Slesarev, as evidenced by the blueprints signed by him and stored in the archive.

The parish of the Basil Church included the village of Beloye, which had 106 peasant households and a population of 401 men and 395 women, as well as the village of Cherepova with 219 households and a population of 779 men and 745 women. The church had 3 desyatinas of homestead land and 87 desyatinas of arable land. A church school operated at the church. The church building was wooden, cold, single-story, with 21 windows, 8 of which had iron grilles, and three wooden doors. The floors were wooden, two domes were covered with plain iron, with mirrored crosses. The church was painted on the outside, while the porch remained open. The bell tower was wooden, single-tiered, with four bells weighing 72, 10, 3.5, and 4 poods. The iconostasis, made in 1913, was wooden, without gilding, three-tiered, with 26 icons.

The church ceased its activities in 1927 and was converted into a grain storage facility. In the summer of 2008, the building burned down.
