The village of the First Five-Year Plans emerged during Soviet times due to the construction of wood processing factories, and there has never been an Orthodox church here. People from various corners of the Soviet Union came to work at these factories, including believers who had to travel to the nearest church in Solombala.

On June 7, 2000, the Arkhangelsk clergy erected a cross at the future site of the church in honor of St. Tikhon Patriarch of All Russia.

The organization of the parish community was undertaken by Archpriest Nikolai Kononov, thanks to whom the Parish Statute was officially registered on October 30, 2000. The parish received legal entity status and became part of the Arkhangelsk and Kholmogory diocese.

The first All-Night Vigil and Liturgy took place on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in September 2001. On October 22, 2003, Bishop Tikhon consecrated the Foundation Stone, marking the beginning of the church's construction. By May 2005, the walls and bell tower were completed.

On October 19, 2008, 11 bells for the church's belfry were consecrated. A well-known bell ringer from Russia, our fellow countryman Andrey Dyachkov, was invited to set up the control system. On March 25, 2010, the domes were consecrated and installed on the church roof. Two gilded cupolas with crosses can be seen from afar and are the most majestic structure in the Northern District.
