Historical data on the existence of a parish in the village of Spitsyno before 1917 is absent.

The construction of the church in honor of St. Spyridon Trimifuntsky began in 2011 with the blessing of Archbishop Panteleimon. In July, a cross was erected, where regular services were held. In the autumn of the same year, the walls began to be built. On April 23, 2014, Archbishop Anthony of Oryol and Livny consecrated the bells and the cross of the church. On December 25, 2014, Metropolitan Anthony of Oryol and Bolkhov conducted the consecration of the church.
