St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Church in Zolskaya

Фото 1
The church dedicated to St. Nicholas was built in 1899. Initially, the Cossacks erected a wooden church in honor of the Archangel Michael. It was located on a hill near the local cemetery. However, the residents decided to build a stone church, as the wooden church was too small. The new church was constructed with the efforts of the entire community.

Before the war, the wooden church was burned down, and the stone church was used as a warehouse. Horses would enter it to unload grain. During the war, services in the church resumed and were no longer interrupted. On the church grounds, there is a chapel in honor of St. Tatiana, built in 2000 by benefactor Viktor Alexandrovich Pokrepin. The church complex also includes a prosphora room, a Sunday school building, and a refectory.
