St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Church in Studenok

Фото 1
The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, built in the first half of the 19th century, is located on a wasteland on the outskirts of the village of Studenok.

The main building is a geometrically correct square, topped with a central drum featuring a series of arched windows. The dome, made of sheet iron, has now survived only as a metal frame.

The bell tower, adjacent to the right chapel, consisted of three tiers, but according to local residents, only the first tier has survived to this day, and even that is in very poor condition. The entire church complex has significantly deteriorated: the dome is damaged, the roofs of the chapels have collapsed, and the masonry has serious damage. Nevertheless, fragments of frescoes and paintings have survived in satisfactory condition.
