In 1905, the construction of the Nicholas Church in the village of Sotnikovsky was completed, and services began to be held in the church. From this time, metric books and confession records were maintained. In 1911, the parish was visited by Bishop Mikhail, the second vicar of the Stavropol Diocese.

From May 21, 1912, the church elder was Semiguk Yefim Fyodorovich.

From August 9, 1913, the priest was Alexander Pavlovich Svetikov, a graduate of the Kursk Theological Seminary, who had previously served in the Chernihiv Diocese in various positions.

In 1914, two schools of the Ministry of Public Education and one church parish school for girls operated at the Nicholas Church.
