St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Church in Bryansk (lost)

Фото 1
The brick church, located near the Bryansk-Orlovsky railway station, was built in 1892 in honor of the salvation of Tsarevich Nicholas from danger in the Japanese city of Otsu. It was consecrated in 1893. In 1899, with funds from Bryansk merchant Morozov, a right chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin was established. Until 1896, the church belonged to the Tikhvin Church. By 1930, the building was occupied by Renovationists, and later it was closed and used as a school. Eventually, the church was blown up. The site of the church is now a market in the Volodarsky district.
