The St. Nicholas Church is located in the village of Makeevo, presumably built in 1859. After the revolution, it was closed and remained partially destroyed until the 1960s. Later, the dome was destroyed, and the church building was repurposed for the economic needs of local organizations. Before the church was handed over to the Kursk Diocese, it served as a warehouse for the local collective farm. In 2001, after the roof was restored and a dome with a cross was installed, a fire occurred, destroying all the results of the work. Currently, the inhabitants of the skete are once again engaged in the restoration of the church.
