In 2001, a meeting was held in the village of Ivanino, organized by Priest Evgeny Pieter and the head of the administration Nikolai Alekseevich Rassolov. At this meeting, the residents expressed their desire to establish a parish. Priest Evgeny Pieter was elected as the chairman of the parish council, and the parish was named in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
