On January 6, 2013, a bell, dome, and cross for the under-construction St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Church were consecrated in the village of Gotovye. The consecration was conducted by the archpriest of the Krasnensky district, Father Evgeny Zadorozhny.

The old church in Gotovye was destroyed in 1935, and its bricks were used to build a grain storage facility, a village club for 500 people, and a bathhouse for the collective farm.

Gotovye is an ancient Russian village that originated in the early 18th century. In archival documents from the time of Peter the Great, it is mentioned as the Gotovskaya state forest dacha, located "by the Olyshanka River, six versts from Russian Trostyanok." According to the 1744 census, the village had 27 households and 89 male souls recorded for tax purposes. In 1859, Gotovye, which belonged to the Korotoyak district, had 1,125 households and 919 residents.

In documents from 1900, the village is mentioned as the center of the Gotovskaya volost.
