In December 2000, the cornerstone was consecrated, and ten months later, the construction company 'Transyuzhstroy' completed the church.

On September 9, 2001, Archbishop Ioann, now Metropolitan of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, consecrated this church dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

Transyuzhstroy employees call this special church their regimental church. It serves as a memorial to all BAM workers, both those currently living and those who have passed away. This church is the best way to honor the memory of those who, under challenging climatic conditions comparable to those of the Far North, carried out an important state task.
