St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Church in Baranovichi (lost)

Фото 1
In 1903, a church was built near the dry bread factory of the Vilna Intendancy in honor of St. Nicholas of Myra the Wonderworker. Little is known about it: it was affiliated with the Church of Nicholas Kochan, and services were conducted by a brigade priest. In 1915, the church was destroyed during the fighting of World War I.

The church was located between the modern streets of Vstrechnaya and Khlebnaya. If you walk along Dimitrova Street to the warehouse of the store on Khlebnaya Street and continue on, at the end of the street on the right, you can see an old barrack, similar to those preserved in the aviation town. It was behind this barrack that the Nicholas Church stood. If you walk from Dimitrova Street along the 2nd Dimitrova Lane to Vstrechnaya Street and look left across the road, you can see this place.
