The church, built in 1844, ceased to function in 1960 and was used as a warehouse. In 2009, a decision was made to restore it in the village of Bukreevka, Lebyazhensky rural council.

To date, a significant amount of repair and restoration work has been completed. In the fall of 2010, a new cross was installed on the church dome. However, there are still many tasks ahead, and the restoration of the church of Mitrophan of Voronezh continues.
