On June 10, 2015, Metropolitan German of Kursk and Rylsk conducted the consecration of the cornerstone for a new church dedicated to St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky), Archbishop of Crimea, in the village of Muravlevo, Kursk district.

The foundation is laid next to a small church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in Muravlevo, built on the site of the destroyed one. The history of this place is closely connected with the nun Misaila (Matrona Gavrilovna Zorina). Matrona was baptized here, and her parents were buried here. The nun Misaila had her own place for prayer in this church. She donated the icon of the Mother of God "Three-Handed" to the Sorrowful Church, brought from Jerusalem. In 1937, the church was closed and dismantled.

Half a century later, in 2008, a prayer house was opened in the village of Baryshnikovo in the Muravlevsky rural council of the Kursk district in the Kursk region, in the building of a former collective farm canteen. In the same year, the construction of a new church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" began near the site of the destroyed one. Since 2010, regular services have been held in this church.
