In 2000, Archbishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol consecrated the cornerstone for the future St. John Chrysostom Church in the village of Grafovka. On December 6, 2012, during the 28th week after Pentecost, the church dedicated to St. John Chrysostom was consecrated.
The construction of the church in Grafovka began in 2003 but was halted in 2006. Thanks to the efforts of the regional governor's administration, the Shebekino district, and the deputies of the regional Duma, the construction of the church was completed.
On December 16, 2012, a ceremony to consecrate the church in honor of St. John Chrysostom took place in the village of Grafovka, Shebekino district. Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol conducted the divine liturgy. After the service, awards from the Russian Orthodox Church and acknowledgments from the Shebekino district administration were presented to those who made significant contributions to the construction of the church.
