The St. Dimitri of Rostov Church in the village of Dmitrievka was built between 2008 and 2014 on the site of a church destroyed during the Soviet era, which had been erected in the mid-19th century.

In the last quarter of the 18th century, a new wooden church appeared in the village of Dmitrievka, replacing the old one. Its construction was associated with the landowner Major Stepan Ivanovich Yumotov. The church was started in 1779 and consecrated on August 25, 1785.

In the mid-19th century, a stone church was built on the site of the wooden one, thanks to the support of Countess Cleopatra Petrovna Kleinmichel.

In the early 20th century, the parish had about a thousand members, but in the post-war years, the church was destroyed.

On September 2, 2008, the head of the Belgorod diocese, Metropolitan Ioann, consecrated the cornerstone for the construction of a new wooden church.

On June 22, 2014, Metropolitan Ioann of Belgorod and Starooskolsky, along with Bishop Sophronius of Gubkin, conducted the grand consecration of the church in honor of St. Dimitri of Rostov.
