The temple of the Holy Martyr Kuksha of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, located in the village of Klykovo, is a cubic building with a single dome, adjacent to a stone refectory. Initially, it was planned to dedicate this new church to the icon of the Mother of God "It is Truly Meet," but on August 29, 2013, the church was consecrated in honor of Kuksha of Pechersk, which is linked to the 900th anniversary of his death. This decision was not made by chance.

In the 12th century, at the site of the modern village of Klykovo, on a high bank of the Serene River, there was a route used by Khazars, Tatars, and princes. There was also a pagan settlement where the Holy Martyr Kuksha of Pechersk, an outstanding Russian educator of the pre-Mongol era, carried out his preaching activities.
