The Church of the Transfiguration in Rekovichi is located on the banks of the Rekovlyanka River in the center of the village. It was built with funds from landowner A. B. Ozerova on the site of a wooden church known since the 17th century. Currently, the ceilings and the top of the church, as well as the upper part of the bell tower, have been lost. The main part of the church is a slightly elongated rectangle from north to south with a protruding semicircular apse, which was once topped with a faceted lantern drum and dome. To the west, a wide refectory adjoins the church, ending with a narrower narthex that has small rooms on either side of the main entrance, above which originally rose a tiered bell tower. The facade decor is strict and concise, featuring six-pillar porticos (the outer pillars are paired) with pediments on the ends of the main volume and simplified entablatures on the upper part of the walls. The corners of the refectory are highlighted with rustication, and false arches are located in the center of its side walls. The narthex has an arched entrance. The window openings, some of which have preserved ornate wrought-iron grilles, have ledges around the perimeter and rectangular niches either at the bottom or the top. Above the windows of the narthex are round openings for the second light. The main room with four pylons, which have their inner corners cut off, is connected by wide passages to the apse, refectory, and narrow side parts at the ends of the church. The refectory housed an altar dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
